Burrell Traction Engine, Gears, Gears and more Gears.

Burrell Traction Engine,Gears :-) Gears and more Gears. It seems like a while since my last post and realistically I haven't made lots of progress. However, the progress I have made is a bunch of shiny gears as the title suggests. These have been cut in the usual way with an involute gear cutter and a dividing head on the horizontal miller. Not much to say here as its a subject in itself, but there are plenty of videos on a popular channel, showing the process so here are my results.  The first 2 are some aluminum practice gears to nail the technique and to test the setup's rigidity on the machine. The last gear in the picture is the finished slow pinion gear.     The fast pinion gear-blank, this is also the final one in Mild steel. No more practicing from herein.  The basic setup on the milling machine is shown. The dividing plate is also a new item, with just 1 row of 17 holes on it for the time being. The other gears that are required I will update the hole count as required
